Mel Gibson's movie: Apocalypto
Yap, this was true in history, Mesoamerican victims sacrified in the pyramids builts in strategic places all over the world (electromagnetic bellybuttons of the planet), pouring blood (soul="néphesh" in Hebrew) to satisfy the bloodthirst desire of the hyperdimensional gods. They contacted'em with hallucinogenic stuff and properties of DEFORMED skulls which, of course, altered the shape of their brains a bit like odd Einstein's brain. Mel Gibson's film mingles several architecture styles to make sure this is romance based upon history. Cruel history indeed and we see diseases and devastation of their natural environment as well.
